Unit 3: Forming Positive Relationships
Context:
In this unit we will look at the importance of building positive relationships with service users. Positive interactions will build trusting relationships between staff and patients, and these relationships can build collaboration and participation in the care planning process.
By the end of Unit 3 you will be able to:
- Explore the necessary components in building positive relationships with people
- Understand the importance of values, beliefs, and attitudes in the development of the professional/patient therapeutic relationship
- Apply examples of best practice within your work and explore the importance of self-awareness
