Audience: Clinical staff and Patient Handlers

Learning Objectives:

• Explain why infection prevention and control is important and the different organisms that pose an infection risk
• List the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) that should be used when performing clinical procedures
• Describe how to clean up different types of fluids and spillages and how to dispose of waste safely
• Describe your responsibilities with regards to preventing infection spread
