Lipid Management Pathway
How to better understand and navigate the Lipid Management Pathway created by the NHS Accelerated Access Collaborative.
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the most common cause of death in the UK – 27% of all deaths. Having high levels of fat in the blood can dramatically increase a person’s risk of serious health problems, such as CVD. This can be caused by:
- Unhealthy lifestyle
- Genetics
- Other underlying health conditions
The Lipid Management Pathway navigates the decisions a clinician can make to lower someone’s risk.
