If students are treated with civility and respect and feel a sense of belonging in your organisation they will be more likely to seek employment as a registrant in your organisation. This case study shows how the Liverpool Heart and Chest NHS FT developed a civility charter to promote a culture of belongingness amongst staff and students. The poem, 'Be Civil, Be Kind' wirtten by Justine Brislen offers food for thought about the potential impact of incivility on peoples health and wellbeing at work.
