A guide to analysing binding sites in protein structures
This webinar gives an introduction to the information required to effectively interpret ligand binding sites in protein structures. It will highlight tools available at the Protein Data Bank in Europe (PDBe) and PDBe Knowledge Base (PDBe-KB) to analyse ligand binding pockets and interactions. It will also highlight how this information can be used for the design of new inhibitors, through a specific case study.
Who is this course for?
Researchers with a background in protein biology or biochemistry, with a reasonable knowledgeof the basic concept of structural biology.
Outcomes
By the end of the webinar you will be able to:
- Explore and access ligand binding site data at PDBe and PDBe-KB
- Identify PDBe and PDBe-KB tools to support understanding of ligand binding sites
- Apply knowledge of ligand binding sites to own research
