Tips for supporting Autistic People with Physical Health Needs
A training video for Autism Peer Support Workers, giving tips for supporting autistic people with physical health. Pain can presently differently within each autistic person and can also be impacted by sensory issues. This can result in rapidly escalating pain and unwarranted acceptance of what is considered normal, which can mask the seriousness of the incident. Many autistic people have had negative experiences of seeking assistance and need support and encouragement to ensure the correct care is sought.
