Vulnerabilities and trauma-informed practice
Vulnerabilities and Trauma Informed Practice is a bite-size session aimed at frontline health and care professionals to help them use their trusted relationships with individuals, families and communities to address the impact of vulnerabilities.
The session describes the meaning of vulnerabilities, risk factors and trauma informed practice which seeks to address the barriers that those affected by trauma can experience when accessing care and services.
It also highlights actions that healthcare professionals can take to address vulnerability in individuals such as putting measures in place so that individuals feel emotionally and physically safe and being transparent with advice.
