This course looks at what governance is. Initially focusing on governance in the corporate world, it explores the core elements that are recognisable in all types of organisation. The course will then identify the key features of governance within the healthcare sector, reflecting on the different models of governance within different NHS organisations. The course compares the critical distinctions between governance and management and the separation required from the day-to-day running of an organisation.
