1.1 E-Patient Scenario 1A
The purpose of this e-patient scenario is to help you enhance your clinical reasoning. You will be presented with a clinical scenario based on a new referral to orthoptics for a 10 year old child with a suspected squint. You should work through this scenario in the order presented to formulate a diagnosis and management plan.
Learning Aims:
- To consider the referral details and build a comprehensive case history, considering what elements of the case history are most relevant to the clinical assessment.
- Select and interpret the relevant clinical tests to form a diagnosis/differential diagnosis.
- Suggest appropriate management options for this patient based on your clinical findings and evidence based practice.
