1.1 Principles of Management 1E
Certificate available: complete this course to be awarded a certificate
This is an introductory module to orthoptic management principles and the circumstances under which they would be used/recommended. The overall goal for any patient is to achieve good visual acuity either eye and restore comfortable binocular single vision where possible. If restoration of BSV is not possible the aim should be to achieve good ocular alignment.
Management decisions need to be made with the patient’s individual circumstances at the forefront. This module encourages you to review the textbook principles of management and consider clinical situations in which these may or may not be appropriate.
