KUF 3 Day Trainer Guidance

The KUF 3-day multiagency training is designed for all those who work with people with complex emotional needs (associated with a diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’). Although many people who attract this diagnosis will come into contact with staff working in mental health services, they will also access services more widely (for example, housing, social services, third sector agencies etc.). Recruiting participants to the training from diverse backgrounds is a vital element of this training.

This Trainer Guidance document aims to support all trainers delivering the KUF 3-day Multiagency training. Contained within it are suggestions on how to facilitate the training. It also contains suggestions on how to facilitate the training online and how to facilitate it face-to-face. These suggestions are designed to complement the notes already contained in the slides.

This document is not intended to be exhaustive; rather it is designed as a live document: one that you can add to as you come up with your own ways of facilitating the learning. We’ve included blank sections entitled ‘Additional Notes’ precisely for this purpose.
