Needs assessment is a systematic process, based on evidence and data, to support planning decisions. It is designed to provide information to help improve the quantity, quality and fair distribution of services to better meet the needs of a population.
This course explains the purpose of a needs assessment, the role it plays in local decision making, and the process involved. Different types of needs assessment are described.
