Cancer is one of the biggest contributors to the life expectancy inequality gap between the most and least deprived regions. Early presentation, referral, screening and diagnosis will reduce emergency presentations and mortality from cancer. This session will discuss the health inequalities experienced in cancer care and the role of the healthcare professional in narrowing that gap.
