This session covers external beam radiotherapy (EBRT) with regard to radiation protection, how it differs from diagnostic x-rays, the risks associated with it and the precautions which can be taken to minimise the risk. This session is aimed at all staff who work on the wards and is also relevant to support staff including porters, theatre staff, cleaners and mortuary staff. This session was reviewed by Mark Long and updated in November 2020.
