Current Landscape of Organ Donation and Transplantation
This module provides statistical analysis of organ donation and transplantation rates in the UK, covering both deceased and living donation rates, offering schemes and organ sharing schemes. It will also focus on listing rates for transplantation, as well as post transplant outcome rates.
This module will provide:
- An overview of organ donation and transplantation rates in the UK
- An understanding of deceased donation, transplantation and waiting lists figures
- Breakdown of the ‘potential donor audit’
- Comparison between DBD and DCD donation
- A summary of organ offering schemes and offer decline rates
- An overview of living donation rates
- An explanation of living donor sharing schemes
- An understanding of listing and transplantation rates
- Statistical data on post-transplant outcomes
