STAKEHOLDER GROUPS AND ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS
It has become common place for Executive Director interview processes to include several stages and different meetings with a wide variety of stakeholders. What form might these various sessions take and how do you approach these meetings?
Stakeholders can represent a wide range of individuals or interest groups who are either vested in the recruitment decision or are affected by the outcome. Within the NHS these could be fellow Executive Directors on the Board or direct reports to the new postholder, NonExecutive Directors who will work with the appointee, representatives from patient groups or trade unions, NHS England, regional staff, members and governors (in the case of Foundation Trust appointments), or employees at the organisation.
