PROACTIVE JOB SEARCHING
We tend to associate the hidden job market with the private sector, and whilst within the NHS the majority of roles are advertised in a fair and open process, often being recommended for opportunities, or giving yourself the best possible chance of an unexpected opportunity coming your way, can be the difference in getting the right opportunity quickly rather than just slotting into one that was advertised.
Searching NHS Jobs and HSJ jobs is just simply being reactive. The challenge with just doing this is that you may miss an opportunity deadline or closing date, and an organisation may conduct a “search” for candidates before they advertise.
