The Essential Digital Skills Framework defines 20 tasks across five areas:
Communicating – Use email, messaging apps, video calls, and professional networks (e.g., LinkedIn).
Handling Content & Information – Create, share, and collaborate using tools like Teams, OneDrive; complete digital records; follow IT policies; sync info across devices.
Transacting – Access salary/tax info securely; manage authentication and privacy settings.
Problem Solving – Use online tutorials, search engines, and job-specific software to improve productivity.
Being Safe & Legal Online – Identify secure sites/Wi-Fi, avoid phishing, update software, follow data protection, and act cautiously online.
