This case study covers the development of avirtual escape room that seamlessly integrated with our existing virtual placement to enhance undergraduate nursing students’ understanding of risks factors, identifying hazards, roles of MDT and safeguarding concerns within community care settings.

The objectives of the project were:

  • Engage Through Interactive Learning
  • Assess Knowledge & Application
  • Improve Critical Thinking & Problem-Solvingthroughscenario-based decision-making
  • Improve risk assessment skills
  • Understand scope of practice and role within the MDT
