Mechanical Ventilation
Following this mechanical ventilation training clinicians should be able:
To understand the indications for mechanical ventilation
To understand the different modes of ventilation commonly used within the trust
To understand the differences between pressure and volume controlled ventilation
To understand basic ventilator terminology
To develop an understanding of the weaning process and recognize when a patient may be ready to begin the weaning process
