What is the purpose of this training?
This short set of slides is designed to provide information on radiation safety applicable to work in your Directorate.
The Trust Radiation Safety Policy places a number of duties on managers regarding aspects of staff radiation protection and use of radiation generating equipment, and you should be familiar with these, and the resources that are available to assist you.
You should also be familiar with procedures for ensuring safety of your staff when working with or around radiation.
In addition to your management duties you may also work in a radiation area. In this case you are also required to complete the Radiation Awareness - Level 2 training.
