270 Hoist and Sling Prescribing in the Community
This course is designed to enable community staff to identify the criteria for selecting types/models of hoist/slings for a variety of care settings.
Relevant legislation will be revised and related issues around selecting and prescribing mechanical lifting equipment discussed.
The correct selection of slings, by size, type and model will be introduced, and the potential risks to service users discussed.
