0.09 – Introduction 2.51 – John Gillies summarises his paper Distilling the Essence of General Practice: A Learning Journey in Progress (2009)

07.26 – Stewart Mercer discusses the complications of the rise of an ageing population in the UK and subsequent pressure on NHS resources.

10.00 – Carey Lunan explains that early onset multimorbidity is a result of an ageing population but adds that it is an overrepresented issue amongst individuals from a more deprived socio-economic background due to healthcare inequalities.

14.14 – Rupal Shah challenges the role of technology in general practice and questions if it is doing more harm than good for patients.

16.42 – Jens Foell explains that the overly complicated and inefficient technological resources designed to streamline general practice are actually the tools slowing GP’s down and decreasing the quality of care given to patients.
