These resources from The PathologyROAR initiative include a series of videos, website links and social media profiles of members of staff.

The PathologyROAR initiative intends to showcase the breadth of roles available in Pathology and spark interest in the field. With roles such as Medical Laboratory Assistant, Biomedical Scientist, Clinical Scientist, Medical Registrar, Medical Consultant, Pathology Director and more, there are extensive career options and something for everyone.

One of the PathologyROAR videos proudly proclaims, “I love my job because every day is different, and even a bad day, is a good day” and this really underpins life working in pathology: the infinite number of clinical scenarios, coupled with hundreds of tests, on a variety of different types of samples, with an endless number of results produced. Life in pathology is never boring and is incredibly rewarding. The work that is carried out in the laboratory means that sometimes the laboratory professional is the first to discover the reason behind quite why a patient is so unwell, and that provides great job satisfaction given the importance of the role.
