Overview of care of the critically ill patient for the non-intensivist
Covers general considerations for ICU care and then specifics of managing a ventilated Covid-19 patient.
Aimed at staff at Manchester University NHS FT but applicable to anyone asked to work in critical care during this pandemic. Unscripted but with reference to the daily reviews conducted in their ICU, common problems they face that might not be immediately obvious to non-ICU staff and with reference to current (March 17th 2020) Covid-19 guidance.
