Learning Outcomes
The safeguarding of children, young people and adults who are at risk is a fundamental obligation for everyone who works in the NHS. NHS England is committed to improve safeguarding for all, learning from best practice and safeguarding reviews.
This course has been developed for all staff working, and colleagues deployed in, NHS England. It will look at different types of safeguarding concerns and will give you information about what to do if you see or hear something that concerns you. We want you to feel empowered to have the confidence to do the right thing when it comes to safeguarding children and adults at risk of abuse.
We will look at the following topics:

- What safeguarding is?
- Why it is relevant for every member of staff?
- What to do if staff experience or encounter safeguarding issues?
- Whom to contact and where to get more information on safeguarding policies and procedures.
