PDF: Supplementary financial support for healthcare students
Health Education England (HEE) does not hold responsibility for the supplementary financial support for pre-registration healthcare students. The responsibility for administering the support and services for eligible pre-registration students studying on healthcare, medical, and dental courses sits with the NHS Business Service Authority (NHSBSA) who act on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care.
HEE is aware that students across England are being impacted by rising costs of food, transport, rent, and energy, and that for some healthcare student’s the costs for excess Travel and Dual Accommodation Expenses (TDAE) while on clinical practice placements is causing some challenges.
