CPD session recording: Reasonable adjustments and the role of sensory strategies for patients with learning disabilities and autistic patients

Not yet rated

People with learning disabilities and/or autistic people can often face many barriers when accessing the health and social care services they need - these barriers can be due to lack of understanding in how to best support them. This presentationencourages all AHPs and AHP support staff to consider their role in supporting equitable access to services in line with the Equality Act, through exploring health inequalities for people with learning disabilities and considering the reasonable adjustments which can be made, including consideration of sensory strategies.
