Pancreatic Cancer - The Role of the Pharmacy Team
This module will help you spot potential symptoms of pancreatic cancer among pharmacy customers, to help aid early diagnosis. This module will also help you to understand the key role you can play in spotting symptoms of pancreatic cancer for early diagnosis, which can significantly improve survival rates.
After completing this module, you will be able to:
- Understand where the pancreas is and its functions in the body
- Identify the risk factors associated with Pancreatic Cancer and explore its impact on sufferers
- Recognise the symptoms that may indicate pancreatic cancer and require urgent referral to a GP
- Reflect on the communication skills needed when speaking to customers suffering from pancreatic cancer or are showing symptoms.
