Not yet rated

The Creating Careers Programme has been produced by HEE Widening Participation, Vocational Learning and Apprenticeships Team and in direct collaboration with Liverpool City Region Careers Hub, North West University Connect programmes and its 3 Integrated Care Systems and Ambassador networks across the NHS Organisations, North West Ambulance Service, Social Care and Primary Care.

Creating Careers was set up to complement local, regional, and national online events which had been set up as alternatives to in-person career information, advice and guidance events, sessions etc due to Covid-19. This bolt on programme offers young people from year 11+, parents, careers, guardians, mentors, and adult learners an opportunity to build on other insight days, online work-related learning, webinars irrespective of the provider.

Creating Careers had over 250 individuals register over the 6-month programme and have given the green light for Season 2 to start in October 2021. Season 1 had 6 episodes including an Insight Day devoted to AHP’s.

During this live event, Creating Careers:

  • Shared how and why Creating Careers was created and being upscaled
  • Heard from the developers, Ambassadors, and individuals as to their thoughts on the programme
  • Provided its learning from Season 1 and its aspirations for Season 2.
