Bed bug found on the clothes of a patient in dermatology clinic viewed with a dermatoscope (fancy magnifying glass for dermatologists). Video courtesy of my colleague, Dr. Eric Hossler. Bedbugs (Cimex lectularius) don’t live directly on people’s skin; they live around the edges of mattresses and other areas near beds. But they can hitch a ride on clothing or other items which is how they can spread from place to place.
