Safe-Use-of-Insulin-in-the-Community – Essential training for all health and social care staff supporting insulin-treated diabetes in an outpatient, community or care setting.

  • To support all health and social care staff including GPs across the borough of Croydon to improve their diabetes skills, reduce variation in practice, promote safer patient care and to avoid attendances at emergency department, and support early discharge.
  • To use CDEP topics as an action plan regarding diabetes related incidents reported via RADAR.
  • For Healthcare Professionals to use the CDEP topics to increase their CPD hours towards their Revalidation and as a precursor to completing the Diabetes module via any University.

CORE

The minimum level for staff who have any contact with people living with diabetes.

Ideal for HCAs, receptionists, students, psychologists, care workers etc.
