Module 6: Neonatal care
Certificate available: complete this course to be awarded a certificate
Understanding neonatal care is essential to ensuring that maternity and neonatal services truly reflect the full journey of families - from pregnancy through to the early days, weeks, and months of a baby’s life.
While many births follow an expected path, a significant number of families experience neonatal care, often unexpectedly. These families face unique challenges, transitions, and emotional journeys that can have a lasting impact. As an MNVP lead, understanding the systems, services, and lived experiences of neonatal families is vital to ensuring that all voices are heard.
