Evaluating the East Midlands Leadership and Management Programme

EAST MIDLANDS LEADERSHIP ANDMANAGEMENT PROGRAMME
NHS England East Midlands runs the free East MidlandsLeadership and Management Programme (LMP), for residentdoctors in the region.
The LMP was redesigned in 2022 to create a hybridprogramme and to increase participant’s active learning. Thecurriculum was redesigned to align with UK-based leadershipmodels. It is now a 3-phase programme, with Phase 1focusing on the basic principles of leadership andmanagement, Phase 2 focusing on leadership skills througha self-directed Quality Improvement Programme (QIP), and
Phase 3 focusing on advanced principles of leadership andmanagement. Phases 1 and 3 combine e-learning and aface-to-face day. Phase 2 requires participants to complete areflective form.
Phase 1 was launched in June 2023, Phase 2 in January2024, and Phase 3 in October 2024. Phase 3 is currentlybeing evaluated. A brief overview of the evaluations ofPhases 1 and 2 are shown on this poster.
