818 Just Culture
This module is designed to support the development of a Just Culture within our organisation. A Just Culture is built upon the foundations of civility and psychological safety, and it promotes a learning, restorative, and fair approach to incident management. By focusing on understanding and learning—rather than blame or judgement—when incidents, errors or mistakes occur, we can enhance the quality of care we provide to patients and improve the experience of our staff. To foster a Just Culture, it is crucial that all colleagues feel comfortable and empowered to speak up. When individuals feel safe and valued in raising concerns or reporting incidents, we create opportunities to learn from each other and prioritise the safety and continuous improvement of patient care.
