This elearning session supports healthcare professionals in understanding the genetic basis, pathophysiology, clinical presentation and management of thalassaemia, including its impact on daily life.
It enables learners to recognise the role of transfusion therapy and iron chelation, identify complications, and appreciate the psychological and lifestyle considerations experienced by people living with this condition.
Targeted at nurses, midwives and allied health professionals, the session also equips learners to support effective patient‑centred care and safe transition from paediatric to adult services.
