Memory Making 1 – Understanding memory making in pregnancy and baby loss

When a family experiences pregnancy or baby loss, every moment and memory can become deeply significant. This e-learning module is an introduction to why memory making is so important in baby loss bereavement care. It provides a foundation for understanding how memories are created and stored, the impact of trauma and grief on the brain and how these factors influence memory making in bereavement care.

Duration: 10 minutes.

Audience: Early pregnancy, maternity and neonatal settings.

This module can be followed by our 'Memory Making 2 – Memory making in maternity care' and 'Memory Making 3 - Memory making in early pregnancy loss care' modules. Completing these will help you understand more about memory making and how you can compassionately support families to create meaningful memories following pregnancy or baby loss.
