Safer Sharps
This programme raises the awareness and management of sharps injuries helping to reduce the risk of sharps injuries. It will take approximatly 25 minutes to complete.
1) The safe management of sharps and BBV (Blood Borne Viruses) incidents
2) The prevention of sharps / BBV contamination related injury.
3) The reduction of sharps injury and contamination
4) An understanding of the risks related to sharps injury and BBV contamination
5)An understanding of current legislation and HSE guidelines
6) An understanding of the infection control issues related to sharps injury and BBV contamination
