Appraisal Training eLearning

5 out of 5 (1 rating)

Appraisal is the new process that enables our leaders to pay close attention to all staff; really understanding the situations they face; responding empathetically; and taking thoughtful and appropriate action to help.

Based around four pillars (Wellbeing, Performance, Talent & Values), Appraisals provide a holistic approach to regular discussions, allowing staff the opportunity to engage with their manager by:

  • Discussing their performance and agreeing clear, SMARTER specific role objectives – what each employee needs to achieve in their role, clear measures of success and improvement, opportunity for feedback and suggestions for improvement
  • Empowering our staff to identify what development they need to support them in meeting and achieving their role objectives and linking future career aspirations that may be a lateral move or promotion
  • Discussing how the individual/team/manager and senior leaders demonstrate through everyday practice that they live EEAST’s Vision, Values and Behaviours
  • Taking a proactive approach to discussing an individual’s wellbeing both in work and outside their role and raising awareness of support that is available

Supporting our leaders is integral to the success of Appraisals. There are simple, user friendly tools available for staff and managers to support discussions and build effective working relationships.
