Work and health: Musculoskeletal problems
Certificate available: complete this course to be awarded a certificate
As a group, musculoskeletal conditions (MSK) are the biggest cause of pain, disability and workplace sickness absence in the UK.
They can reduce quality of life, increase work disability, and increase treatment burden and healthcare costs. While detailed advice on MSK management is the role of specialists in occupational health, rheumatology or physiotherapy, both health and social care professionals can help their patients by knowing more about working with and managing MSK.
You can influence the lives and prospects of your patients for the better – reducing distress and enhancing people's confidence in maintaining their health.
