Medical Devices - Glucose Meter Quiz
This module has been designed for all staff who work on wards and use Glucose Meters across KGH. Our regular meter in the trust is the Roche Accu-Check Glucose Meter (pictured).
Every 6 months, the company that supplies the meter visits Kettering General Hospital and carries out an audit of all Glucose Meters within the trust. This comprises of checks on meter storage, cleanliness, calibration, and correct data recording in the quality control log books.
On a recent audit (carried out in November 2018) a few issues were found in some ward areas regarding correct calibration, storage and cleanliness of meters.
This quiz has been designed to address those issues and act as a reminder to staff regarding the correct use and storage of Glucose Meters.
