eConsent Form 4
The introduction of e-Consent has many benefits, including:
- Removing difficulty of reading handwritten consents
- Making it easier to track patient consent than easily misplaced paper forms
- Making it easier to audit consent
- A clearer, standardised process for consent that ensures patients are provided with consistent information about their procedure
- Providing a secure method of gaining consent from a patient in their own time.
- Ensuring a permanent copy of the signed eConsent form is automatically sent and stored against the patients record in the EPR (Meditech)
Additional information
This video is aimed at clinical staff with consenting rights to use the eConsent functionality with MEDITECH.
