Falls are a significant concern which affects both acute hospital and community settings.This training equips staff with the essential knowledge and skills to:

  • Explore the impact of falls on patients.
  • Identify and address patient-related (intrinsic) and environmental (extrinsic) risk factors for falls.
  • Understand the importance of multidisciplinary team collaboration in reducing falls.
  • Implement simple strategies to help prevent falls.
  • Respond effectively when someone falls.
