Introduction to Haemato-Oncology Nursing is a Royal College of Nursing (RCN)accredited training courseis designed for new starters on a haematology ward, or nurses looking to improve their knowledge of basic haemato-oncological concepts to care for blood cancer patients.
The free resource can be used for:
- Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Written Reflective Accounts for NMC revalidation.
Outcomes from the course
The course covers 10 key chapters. At the end of your training, you will:
- gain a foundation knowledge of basic haemato-oncological principles
- identify common complications and efficiently respond to emergencies
- learn the importance of high quality holistic care.
This free RCN accredited training module is ideal for any nurse or healthacre professional caring for people with blood cancer. Over the 10 chapters in this course, you will build on basic haemato-oncological concepts to support a foundation of nursing practice for caring for blood cancer patients.
The estimate time to complete the course is 4 hours and 15 minutes, but you can stop and start at any point and pick up where you left off.
This resource can be used for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Written Reflective Accounts for NMC re-validation. The RCN cannot confirm competence of any practitioner completing this course.
