Course Details:

Audience: ST3 and above

Duration: 1 hour

Prior knowledge:

  • Prior experience and understanding of Individualised End of Life care planning
  • Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act

Objectives:

  • To gain an understanding of the of the unified do not attempt resuscitation decisionmaking process
  • To discuss the importance of effective communication with the patient, relatives andother health care professionals
  • To be able to apply theTrust uDNACPR policy into clinical practice
  • To be able to complete theTrust uDNACPR form correctly
  • To be aware of other guidance/help available to assist in the decision makingprocess
