HEE NW Education Transformation Conference - Creating and Implementing Virtual Reality Simulated Learning Environments Using Oxford Simulation Software - Presentation
As part of the HEE NW summer 2022 Education Transformation Conference, colleagues from the University of Central Lancashiredescribed how they created a simulated medical assessment unit with live actor and computer generated simulated patients. HEE funding was used to purchase Oculus Quest 2 VR headsets and licencing for clinical simulation software provided by Oxford Medical Simulation. They demonstrated how this VR software can be used to teach clinical simulation in a variety of teaching methods and how VR headsets can be used to create immersive interactive clinical environments, anddiscussed the initial implementation of the VR software and how this is being used to support assessment practices.
