Remote Consultation: An Immersive Technology Resource

Not yet rated

This is an interactive e-learning and immersive 360* video resource aimed at supporting development of skills in remote consulting.

The resource is aimed at trainees of all grades in all specialties, and looks at how to get the most out of telephone and video consulting. The resource was originally developed with the needs of shielding and displaced trainees in mind, however remote consulting will continue to be an important skill for clinicians following the pandemic, therefore this resource will be of benefit to a wide range of doctors and other healthcare professionals.

During the resource you will be guided through the remote assessment of a patient, and will be asked to answer questions about how you would approach the consultation and manage the patient. Important transferable skills such as communication, escalating concerns, seeking support and safeguarding will be addressed.
