About Doug

Doug Feery is a Barrister-at-Law in independent practice who was called to the Bar via the Inner Temple in 2000 and who is a Member and Tenant of Liverpool Civil Law Barrister Chambers, Liverpool. Doug’s main area of interest and practice is in relation to all matters relating to adults in the context of Mental Health, Mental Capacity, Deprivation of Liberty & Care Act, alongside the provisions of the Equality Act, the Human Rights Act and the various inter-faces between the different pieces of law.

About Matt

Matt is a qualified and registered social worker who has been an academic in social work since 2007. Matt has extensive experience of working in local authority mental health services and academia. He has a passion for teaching, writing, and researching on the subjects of mental health, mental capacity and associated legislation. Matt is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
