Learning Outcomes
At the end of this session you will:
- Understand what Palliative Care is including: who, what, why, how and when? And the importance of this care
- Understand how to assess a person’s palliative care needs
- Understand how to obtain support for patients who have palliative care needs
- Understand symptom assessment, management and presentation in the dying phase including the 5 priorities of care for the dying patient
And remember: We only have one chance to get End of Life Care right for our Patients
