Module 2 Ordering Medicines for Patient Use

Not yet rated

The skills required when supplying medicines to individual patients covers not only the standard stock supply and demand issues but also the more complex responsibilities of managing medicines in the patient environment. It is not simply a case of making sure supplies are at an acceptable level or adjusted to suit the number of patients. An effective medicines management pharmacy technician / pharmacy assistant with the appropriate skills covered in this module will also be effective in reducing the amount of work and queries received by the rest of the pharmacy team, prevent the duplication of work and help to reduce patient supply and administration errors.

This module provides full details of the training and assessment process for pharmacy staff in order to gain regional accreditation for the ordering of medicines and products for supply to individual patients.
